TXM Group launches Consulting business in Australia
We’re pleased to announce the launch of 2XM Consult and recent appointment of Mark Hughes who will be leading this business in Australia as Managing Director.
2XM Consult is now ready to support rail, transportation, and other critical infrastructure projects across Australasia. For the past ten years, TXM has provided resourcing and project management to engineering and infrastructure clients in the Australian region and is now expanding to offer data-driven advisory services. These include business improvement advisory services, operations and maintenance, and asset optimisation, aimed at private, state, and federal government organisations.
The business is launching with a state infrastructure project underway and ambitions to expand by offering solutions that draw upon the Group’s global expertise as well as TXM Consult. Clients in Australasia will have access to experienced teams that have worked on the introduction of Hybrid trains in the UK, Transport for Wales Rail Transformation Programme, Crossrail, Hitachi Service Recovery Programme for the IEP trains in the UK, as well as supporting businesses such as Keolis with international franchise bids.
Andrew Midgley, Group Managing Director of TXM Group, comments: “The launch of 2XM Consult is a natural extension of what we’re doing as a business and as a group. It builds on our ten-year track record in the Australian market. And it follows the success of our international business, driven by our ability to offer clients best-in-class services, from resourcing and project management through to strategic consulting.”
Leading 2XM Consult’s growth is Mark Hughes who joins the business from global engineering and project management consultancy SNC-Lavalin, where for the past 18 years he has advised some of the world’s leading organisations. He has worked with transport agencies, government departments and financiers to support major infrastructure projects in the UK, Malaysia, and Australia, from Crossrail, Klang Valley MRT Line 1, and Sydney Metro to John Holland Group, Transport for New South Wales, and Department of Transport & Main Roads.
Mark Hughes, Managing Director of 2XM Consult concludes: “2XM Consult will offer a smart approach for clients, tapping into the talent and skills of the international group we are part of. Not only do we have proven credentials in rail and critical infrastructure projects but we also have a wealth of consulting and technology experience that will allow us to provide digitally-enabled solutions tailored to our clients’ needs.”
